Translating faith
On the way to my interview with the YMCA, I translated the Christian concept of faith into something I could work with.
I was setting intentions to "shine bright" during the interview, and thought, "That's an interesting way to view interviews: Look, this is how I shine." As in, this is how I shine.
And then I thought, "Ack! What happens if they don't offer to hire me!" How does one not take that personally? "Sorry, your shine just isn't good enough."
I put myself in their shoes and realized that what I would mean would be, "Great! You shine so beautifully. Thank you so much for showing us. The Universe, however, has picked a different star for us at this time. Best wishes for now!
I suppose that's one way to not take it personally. And to trust that Spirit/The Universe/God/whatever has something else in mind for this shining star.
That makes so much more sense to me than anything they ever said at church.

Yay 2nd Interview
I have my second interview at the YMCA on Wednesday! Send me some lovin' ;-) 10am, PST.
Sent out two more resumes this morning... to follow up on tomrorow. Maybe I'll have a JOB by next week.
Still workin' on marketing for private clientele, too. Finished my Give to Get coupons and should have 150 of them printed by tonight.

oK, slow movement
Rented my office space. Yay. It's one block from the Church St. station. Had my first paying client (woot). Now, just trying to figure out how to get appointments with people other than my friends.
Had a phone interview, supposed to hear back from them on Monday. Have two more leads to apply to.
Made the cutest little hamburger sandwhiches tonight, on whole wheat baguette slices with a merlot & herb sauce. Yes, the kitchen's getting low on ingredients
